For experienced riders, we offer a special week-long tour with oysters, seals, and plenty of rides.

  • DATES:
    March 31, 2024 – April 6, 2024
    April 7, 2024 – April 13, 2024
    April 14, 2024 – April 20, 2024
  • Arrival: Sunday afternoon from 3 PM. Check-in at Havneby Kro.
    – Double room with Wi-Fi, bed linen, and towels.
    – Sunday evening: dinner together, introduction, and discussion of daily schedules.
  • Monday: Breakfast at 8 AM.
    At 9 AM, we head to the stable. We’ll prepare the horses together and go for a ride.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be organized based on the tide, wind, and weather conditions.
    – Since we have already familiarized ourselves with the horses, we can now perfectly tailor the tours to suit everyone.
    – Each day starts with a delicious breakfast buffet and a brief briefing.
  • Our daily rides take us through the forests and heathlands of the island. Riding on small sandy paths around the pine trees, we can enjoy the walk, tölt, trot, or gallop – riding here is simply fun. Our vast sandy beach offers wonderful stretches for tölt and gallop.
  • We have many beautiful stretches of beach that showcase our wild and rugged nature perfectly. And as we ride along the water with the horses, it’s quite possible that we might find some amber. And if we don’t find any amber during the ride, there’s another chance in the evening, in the darkness, because using special blacklight flashlights makes the amber search even more fun.
  • As a special highlight, we offer an oyster and seal safari on one of the days. The tour starts at the Kammerslusen lock in Ribe (about a 40-minute drive from Rømø), depending on the tides. Here, the amphibious boat Mandøpigen awaits us. We'll sail through the old lock and into the Wadden Sea. During the tour, we'll encounter various bird species, seals, and if we’re lucky, even the rare sea eagle. We’ll dock at a sandbank and disembark to pick oysters. Prior to that, we’ll be provided with waders, buckets, and gloves.
  • The freshly picked oysters will be enjoyed on-site, accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine. In the evening, they will be gratinated with herbs and served with baguette at dinner. Furthermore, we'll be provided with delicious coastal delicacies. There will be lamb and North Sea fish, as well as homemade pizza, cakes, and desserts on the menu. The all-inclusive package ensures exciting days where we indulge in the finest treats. The nature provides us with food and treasures, and our in-house hot pot ensures our well-being.
  • For our tours, we prepare a packed lunch, and on the other days, Helle will take care of providing a delicious lunch. Water, tea, coffee, and juices will be available during meals. Beer, wine, and soft drinks can be purchased at our café.
  • Boredom is never a concern here. If time permits, we can explore World War II bunkers, visit Denmark’s oldest and smallest school, and even stop by the cozy café known for its delicious cakes.
  • On the last evening, we come together once again to celebrate the week and share our experiences and photos with each other. We cherish the memories we’ve made and look forward to meeting again in the future.
  • Saturday after breakfast, we say goodbye. Check-out is at 11 AM, and you can start your journey back home.
  • Price: 7 days, 6 nights: 2350 €
    including 4 horseback rides, 1 full-day excursion on the tour boat, and 1 visit to the café.

Oyster picking with Helle: Oysters in Denmark are not collected but rather picked. Although it can be challenging, it is a lot of fun. Join us on a tour to the Wadden Sea in front of our beautiful island of Rømø.

Grilled Oysters: I wouldn’t want to keep this classic from our New Year's Eve menu a secret. But you don't have to wait until New Year's Eve to try it: give it a shot yourself!

Is this tour available without riding?

All our tours are also available for non-riding partners. Because on our island, there are great cycling paths. And with an e-bike, you can enjoy a relaxed ride while the riding group goes on their excursion. Additionally, we also offer introductory riding courses. Just ask us for more information!
