Mandø-Rømø Combo Tour

2 islands, 5 days and 4 nights of horseback riding in the World Heritage Site – on Rømø, my home base, and Mandø, the “men’s island”. 

This tour is only for experienced riders. It is accompanied by Sara and her wonderful, well-trained Icelandic horses that add to the fun factor. Sarah is from France and speaks French and English.

Experience Rømø and Mandø on the back of our amazing Icelandic horses

  • On the day of arrival, check-in is from 3:00 pm at Havneby Kro. You will spend the next 4 nights here in double rooms. Meals will be adjusted to fit your tour schedule as you will be on the road at different times. We cook hearty and well, with a preference for fish, lamb, and beef. If you have a vegetarian or vegan preference, please let us know.
  • On the first day, you will ride a sunset tour at Sønderstrand on Rømø. Meeting point is at 6:30 pm with the horses. Dinner will be served before the ride, and afterwards there will be a snack and a good-night drink.
  • Wednesday and Thursday will be spent on Mandø. We will determine the meeting and departure times on-site for both days as they depend on the tides. You will have breakfast, a lunch packet for the day, and dinner in the evening. The horses will be transported to Mandø by trailer (about 1 hour drive), and you will start riding from there.
  • On Friday, you will enjoy a beautiful long ride on Rømø, through forests, heath, and over the beach. On Friday evening, we will have a farewell dinner together.
  • Check-out is after breakfast on Saturday. Four full days packed with first-class nature experiences, horses, food, and good company.
  • Dates: 6 days, 5 nights : 9.-14.07.2024 , 16.-21.07.20241, 20.-25.08.2024
    Price: 1950 €.
  • It is optional to extend the tour with a couple of days beforhand or after. The riding tour is 4 days because the horses need a break before they go on the next tour. Let us know what you would like and we create your special dream tour.

Is this tour available without riding?

All our tours are also available for non-riding partners. Because on our island, there are great cycling paths. And with an e-bike, you can enjoy a relaxed ride while the riding group goes on their excursion. Additionally, we also offer introductory riding courses. Just ask us for more information!
